Mikel Voted Man Of The Match

Chelsea of England midfielder, Mikel Obi was voted the Budweiser Man of the Match in Monday night’s lifeless draw between Iran and Nigeria at the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba.

The match was the first goalless tie in the on-going FIFA World Cup with neither Iran or Nigeria doing enough to earn the three points, with clear-cut chances in this match few and far between.

Mikel was on for all 90 minutes and was credited with a total of 93 passes with only one shot on goal.

The Super Eagles were also credited by FIFA with 64% possession while Iran had 36%.
