Minister: NFF Should Respect Keshi

…Dr Tammy Danagogo says Eagles gaffer not resigning

The Sports Minister/Chair, National Sports Commission, NSC, Dr. Tammy Danagogo has described as untrue the purported resignation of Super Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi as widely reported in the media shortly after the team lost 0-2 to France at the on-going World Cup in Brazil.

In a statement signed by the minister’s Special Assistant on Media, Patrick Omorodion in Abuja, the minister said, “it is not true that Keshi has resigned. He told me that he never said so, that his contract only expired. I expect the NFF to do the needful.”

According to the minister, Keshi should be treated with some respect by the football administrators who should first discuss the matter of his contract with him before making it a press issue.

Meanwhile, Keshi has also refuted the story, stressing that he only told the players that the match against France may be his last with them as his contract had expired with the World Cup.

I THINK THE MAN KESHI JUST LIKE ALL THE PUBLICITY AND ANTICS.HE KESHI SHOULD ALSO RESPECT HIS EMPLOYERS BECAUSE AN EMPLOYEE CAN NOT BE GREATER THAN HIS EMPLOYERS WHETHER GOOD OR BAD. DID HE NEED TO SAY THAT TO HIS PLAYER WHEN HE KNOWS THAT CONTRACT EXTENSION ISSUES CAN NOT BE DISCUSS IN BRAZIL AND I THINK HE IS WELL EDUCATED ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT BEFORE JUMPING INTO CONCLUSION. HE ALSO TALKS TOO MUCH AND SHOULD BE CAUTIONED BY HIS EMPLOYERS. I ALSO THINK IF THE NFF DEEM IT FIT TO INVITE A PLAYER THAT WE ALL KNOW HIS GOOD THEN THEY SHOULD NOT HESITATE TO DO THAT IN THE INTEREST OF NIGERIA FOOTBALL. THE OSAZE THAT WAS BAD IS NOW THE CORNER STONE OF SUPER EAGLES ATTACK TODAY.

WHO KNOWS MAYBE HARUNA LUKMAN COULD HEVE DONE BETTER THAN OBI MIKEL IN THAT MIDFIELD.

FINAL KESHI ALSO SHOULD TREAT THE OLD PLAYERS TOO WITH RESPECT EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT INVITING THEM AGAIN.

Can you respect your employer if he owes you 7-month salary?
