2-Ike Uche dances his way into good position and crosses the ball which John Mikel Obi swiftly latches to, his effort missing target


3- Azubuike Egwuekwe is receiving treatment for an elbow to his left eye.
5- Game resumes after temporarily halt
6- Ahmed Musa wins a throw-in for Nigeria. Mikel made a good pass to him earlier
7- Uche with a swift turn and wins a corner. The Congo team counter and win a corner; the ball eludes everyone. Throw-in for Nigeria
9- Musa is held by his marker but the referee overlooks the challenge
10- Onazi wins a thrown-in. Uche tried a delicate chip earlier
11- Congo fail to utilise chance created from a counter
12- Bimfouti wins Congo a free kick
14- Ahmed Musa dribbles his man but his final touch lets him from the ball. Goal kick
16- Egwuekwe shields the ball brilliantly but had a touch of it. The Congo side take a corner and the ball is punched out by Enyeama
18- Nigeria take a corner but the referee calls for a free kick for a foul in the box against the Eagles
20- Emenike is fouled; free kick advantage Nigeria. They lose the ball and its goal kick Congo
21- Nigeria win a corner, Emenike’s weak shot deflected wide by the keeper. Mikel’s header goes wide
22- Efe Ambrose concedes a free kick. Kick taken by Thievy Bimfouti. Goal kick Nigeria
25- Mikel fouled. Congo counter but somehow lose the ball. Nigeria in possession. Egwuekwe plays a speculative lobbed pass and the Eagles concede possession
33- Egwuekwe loses the ball again with a long range pass
35- Nigeria throw-in. The Eagles win a free kick after some Congo possession
37- Hope Akpan who has been winning balls is fouled. Oboaboba eventually wastes the chance
38- Congo put the Nigerian under all sorts of trouble but a floated Bimfouti pass goes begging
40- Ahmed Musa and Ogenyi Onazi lose the ball after a promising exchange of passes
42- Efe Ambrose loses the ball again but Egwuekwe comes to his rescue. Corner to Congo.
43- Congo counter again, Ambrose the weak spot here again.
44- Akpan kicks the ball out of danger but Egwuekwe is fouled now and is receiving treatment
45(+2)- The firsat hal ends. Congo 0-0 Nigeria. The Super Eagles’ chances to make it to AFCON 2015 could be decided in the next 45 minutes
HT Congo 0 – 0 Nigeria
45- Congo kick off the second half
46- Congo counter after an Onazi pass was cut out. The Red Devils create a chance but the ball is cut out
47- Free kick Congo but the chance is wasted
49- Free kick Congo. Enyeama claims the ball. But there is concern for the Super Eagles as Hope Akpan is down with a shoulder injury
53- Free kick to Congo. Oboabona the guilty party. Emenike is remonstrates for an earlier foul on him. There is clash of heads as Oshaniwa and Egwuekwe crash on each other
54- The Eagles create a chance but the ball is too fast for Ike Uche
57- Penalty for Nigeria. Emenike fouled after a great Mikel Obi pass. GOAL! Ikechukwu Uche converts the spot kick! Congo 0-1 Nigeria
60- Egwuekwe’s kick is wayward but its Nigeria’js goal kick.
62- Onazi clears the ball for a corner but the ref spots a hand ball. Penalty to Congo. Oboabona yellow-carded for a hand ball. Replay shows the referee was WRONG. Vincent Enyeama saves the ball
65-Nigeria counter swiftly but Musa and Uche’s combo only wins Nigeria a corner.
67- Ogenyi Onazi yellow-carded for a foul but Enyeama punches the ball out
70- Uche, playing upfront alone, charges for the ball. Emenike is substitutes with Aaron Samuel in for him; that was Nigeria’s second sub. The first was Sone Aluko came on for Hope Akpan.
73- Ike Uche flagged offside
74- Congo make two changes
76- Mikel controls the ball and sends it forward but Aluko’s shot is wide and tame
78- Uche’s shot is a bit too high after a cross from a sprinting Aaron Samuel
79- Ahmed Musa loses the ball after a slalom run. Uche with a key pass to him
84- Aaron Samuel fouled. The free kick is poor
85- Congo wastes a golden chance to restore parity. A defender shoots wide. Gbolahan Salami replaces Ahmed Musa.
88-Samuel wins a free kick
89- Aluko concedes a free kick
90- Aaron Samuel scores Nigeria’s decisive goal, placing the ball beyond the Congo keeper.
101- Aluko gives a poor pass. The referee ends the game. Congo 0-2 Nigeria.

    Ikpeba criticized Keshi for inviting Aaron Samuel because he plays in China, today Aaron has proving that he’s better than some of those guys in Monaco and bench warmers in Dortmund. Congrats Super eagles! Just keep your head up.

    I didn’t see the match out of fear of suffering a heart attack.I opted for Shooting Stars-Akwa Starlets match.From available reports it is obvious. the Eagles gave a good account of themselves and they deserve all the accolades.This is the kind of never say die spirit we have always wanted them to show.Congratulations boys but it is not over until it is over.Congo down,South Africa must fall come Wednesday.Up Eagles!
