Arsenal could be missing eight first-team players for the visit of Burnley with Henrikh Mkhitaryan struggling with an ankle issue. The Armenia international picked up the issue in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham and will join Sead Kolasinac (thigh) in undergoing a late fitness test ahead of the lunchtime kick-off.
Danny Welbeck (ankle), Rob Holding (knee), Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin), Emile Smith Rowe (hip), Hector Bellerin (calf) and Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring) as well as the recent (ankle) Mkhitaryan have all been ruled out of the visit of the Clarets

Boss Unai Emery might decide whether or not to shake up his line-up after back-to-back losses to Southampton and Spurs where Mkhitaryan sustained his injury, with Alexandre Lacazette pushing for a start. Having been left out of the squad for the Carabao Cup tie in midweek for “tactical reasons”, Emery must also make a decision over recalling Mesut Ozil to the matchday party.
