Roma sporting director Monchi says the club are unlikely to make wholescale changes in January, although tweaks are likely.
The Giallorossi have endured a mixed first half to the season, currently sitting sixth, and their indifferent form has led to regular debate regarding Eusebio Di Francesco’s future.
January provides Monchi with the chance to add extra quality to Di Francesco’s squad and the club has been linked with Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi, Barcelona’s Munir El Haddadi and Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt.
However, the Spaniard is staying coy on the winter window, insisting that having spoken to those around him, only small changes are required to help the squad thrive in the second half of the season.
He told reporters: “Everyone expects us to sign three or four that will become important, but for me the January market does not change a team so much, it’s to do little things.
If you have to do a lot, it means that you are wrong in the summer. “I am convinced – because I know how I work and how those around me work – that we are right “Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
