Nacho Monreal could make a welcome return for Arsenal when they face Chelsea on Saturday while Lucas Torreira could be handed a start. Coach Unai Emery is short of options at left-back with Sead Kolasinac missing for up to 10 weeks with a knee injury, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who started against Manchester City in the season-opener, suffered a fractured leg in that game and will be out for eight weeks.
The injury to Maitland-Niles during the first half meant Stephan Lichtsteiner had to fill in for the majority of the 2-0 loss to City.
However, with Monreal returning to full training this week, it looks like Emery will have at least one natural left-back available to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the
Spaniard having been left out of last week’s clash after returning late from his summer break.
Emery has indicated he could make a change in midfield with summer signing Torreira in line for his first start after impressing off the bench against City.
Emery says he will keep faith with goalkeeper Petr Cech for the visit to his old club, despite his struggles in the loss to the Citizens, with summer arrival Bernd Leno set to be on the bench once more.
Danny Welbeck could also be involved for the first time this season having returned to full training this week.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
