Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata is being linked with a surprise move to Barcelona despite having played for Real Madrid earlier in his career. The Spain international has struggled to settle since moving to Stamford Bridge from Barca’s bitter rivals Madrid for a reported £60million during the summer of 2017.
The 26-year-old has scored five goals in 14 Premier League appearances so far this term, but he has been unable hold down a regular place in the Chelsea side and it appears Maurizio Sarri doesn’t fully trust his abilities.

Indeed, Chelsea have been linked with strikers such as Edinson Cavani over recent weeks and they could look to move Morata on to help finance any potential deal.
Barca are believed to be keen on Morata as they look to bring in cover for Luis Suarez, who faces a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
The Catalan giants are likely to push for an initial loan move, with a view to signing Morata permanently during the summer, although the chances of Chelsea recouping all the money they paid for the former Juventus man seem slim.
