–Chelsea loanee could make surprise Stamford Bridge return
Stoke winger Victor Moses is set for at least six weeks out with a thigh injury and could return to Chelsea.
The 23-year-old has been in a fine form for the Potters this season following his loan switch from the Blues, but was injured in the defeat to Burnley at the weekend and will now not feature again until the new year.
“He has a significant thigh injury which is likely to keep him out for several weeks,” Stoke assistant boss Mark Bowen told the club’s official website.
Moses has made 12 appearances so far this season, scoring one goal, and his absence will be a major blow to manager Mark Hughes ahead of Saturday’s trip to Liverpool, where Moses spent last season on loan.
“At the moment we’re deciding with Chelsea whether to go back and have the rehab there or stay with our team,” Bowen added on BBC Radio Stoke.
If Moses returns to west London, he is allowed to go back to Stoke when fully fit and Hughes will be desperate for that to be the case having seemingly found a spot for the Nigerian in his starting line-up.
