Moses: Argentina Scared Of Super Eagles, Chelsea Stars Have Written Off Nigeria

Nigeria winger Victor Moses insists two-time world champions Argentina will be scared of facing the Super Eagles at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The Super Eagles have been drawn to face the Albiceleste for the fifth time in six finals and have lost all previous four games.

Highly-rated Croatia who parade top stars like Ivan Perisic, Luca Modric and Mario Mandzukic and Euro 2016 surprise packages Iceland are the other teams in Group D.

Moses acknowledged that the Super Eagles would have loved to have avoided facing Barcelona forward Lionel in the group stages but reckoned the Argentines who last month lost 4-2 to Nigeria in a friendly match in Krasnodar will not be comfortable too coming up against the Super Eagles.

“We don’t want to play against Messi, but it is what it is. We’ve got to go and play our football and see what happens,” Moses told Mirror.co.uk.

“After what Iceland did last year [beating England in the last 16 of the Euros], football nowadays, there’s no easy game.

“Argentina are going to be scared of us as well.

“It’s all about football at the end of the day.

“Everyone at Chelsea was saying we’re going to get a thrashing and we’re not going to make it through the group stage.

“Hopefully we can go out there and make the nation proud and get out of the group.”

Both countries will clash on June 26 at the Krestovsky Stadium, St. Petersburg.

Hopefully in Russia next year Victor Moses will remember what his colleagues at Chelsea are mouthing currently. He has to prove them wrong and make them eat their words. I don’t blame them. They’ve simply visioned eleven black men against eleven white men and with their mindset of racial superiority have placed Nigeria as already losers

Dude,it’s not always about racism.Nigeria is ranked 50th in the world and their is always the problem of bonus payment by nff and the players which is normally disastrous

    • I am sure they will say the same about Moldova. It is not about race.

Indeed, everybody has a right for a say. Technically those guys there are trained harder for the business, and mentally, are foccused to get goals at any given chance! So, if our players shall utilize their any given creating opportunity at the [W/C] pitch, infact no team will march them in goals scoring!
