Super Eagles forward Victor Moses has expressed his delight at getting back into Chelsea’s starting XI and helping them to a 3-1 comeback win against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday.
On Saturday, Moses made his first start for Chelsea since October 14, when he had limped off with a hamstring injury in a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
He provided the assist in the Newcastle game on Saturday for Alvaro Morata to draw Chelsea level after Dwight Gayle had given the visitors a shock lead.
Mosesalso had a hand in Chelsea’s third scored by Eden Hazard from the penalty spot after the Nigerian was fouled inside the box by Matt Richie.
Reflecting on the win, Moses tweeted on Sunday: “Great to be back playing yesterday to help the team get another big three points.”
Chelsea are third on 32 points in the Premier League table.
