Nigeria international Victor Moses has revealed that he is currently treating a “small injury”.
Moses was expected to make his return to the Super Eagles but was left out of coach Sunday Oliseh’s 18-man squad of overseas-based players invited for the Super Eagles’ 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania next month.
Oliseh met with Moses in London recently and the coach praised the Chelsea forward for his attitude.
“Thanks for all of your support and concern. I am having treatment on a small injury but hopefully will be back very soon,” Moses tweeted on Tuesday.
Moses was also mysteriously left out of the squad for Chelsea’s Premier League clash at Manchester City on Sunday after being an unused substitute in their Premier League opener at home to Swansea.
He is yet to feature for the Blues this season despite impressing coach Jose Mourinho in pre-season.
He spent the last two seasons out on loan at Liverpool and Stoke City.
