–Eagles star finally responds to Monk’s claim
Nigeria and Stoke City of England star Victor Moses has defended his good name by insisting he is no cheat.
Speaking for the first time since he was criticised for taking a dive against Swansea a fortnight ago, Moses says the evidence points to a foul.
And he clearly remains angry at Swansea boss Garry Monk for his infamous post-match attack – which he has since stood by – in which he accused Moses of diving and being a disgrace.
“If you look at the picture, there was contact,” Moses protested.
“To be honest, he (Monk) shouldn’t have said that. That’s the mistake he made.
“My conscience is clear.”
Moses thanks everyone locally for backing him in the wake of the `cheat’ row.
“That really meant a lot to me, everyone supporting me. The chairman in the paper, everyone was behind me and I was very pleased with that.”
Moses spoke Tuesday afternoon at Mott Place Allotments in Longport to promote an initiative for apprentices.
