Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses pulled up injured in Stoke City’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United in the Barclays English Premier League on Saturday.

The Nigerian forward signalled to the club’s physio in the 41st minute after firing a shot wide and pulling up badly.

Moses who did not play Nigeria’s two friendlies against Uganda and South Africa due to a hip injury he only recently returned from, was substituted  before half time with Senegalese striker, Mame Biram Diouf taking his place.

This week, Moses spoke about the frustrations he had to deal with as a result of injury concerns.

“I won’t say it hasn’t been frustrating at times, with the injuries I have picked up, because it has, but thankfully I am feeling really good and strong at the moment,” he told Stoke City’s official website.

The winger, who is on a season-long loan from Chelsea, has scored three times in 19 league appearances for the Potters.

In Scotland, former Enugu Rangers striker, Edward Ofere scored for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the 1-1 draw against champions, Celtic, in the Scottish Premiership.

Leigh Griffiths scored in the third minute to give Celtic the lead in the contest decided at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.

Ofere however equalized barely two minutes after Griffiths’ strike, converting from close range after Jason Denayer had blocked Ryan Christie’s shot on the line.

However the Nigerian striker received a yellow card in the 28th minute for a foul on the Celtic captain, Scott Brown.

Saturday’s goal was Ofere’s second league goal of the season as he had scored in the 1-2 loss to Motherwell at Fir Park on February 28.

The 29-year-old had also previously played for clubs such as Malmö FF, Lecce 18, Trelleborgs FF, FC Vestsjælland and Sogndal.

Ofere has been capped three times by Nigeria at senior level.

Michael Odibe was sent off as Atryau lost 2-1 at home to Tobol Kostanay in a league match in Kazakhstan on Saturday.

Odibe’s compatriot Uche Kalu opened his goals’ account in this match for his Kazakhstani club Tobol Kostanay.

The former Adanaspor forward opened the scoring for the visiting team in the 36th minute.

Odibe’s Atryau are 10th on the league table with six points from as many games, while Tobol are fifth with eight points.

The former Arsenal Kiev player was given a straight red card in the 88th minute.

This is Odibe’s second expulsion since he turned professional. His first dismissal was in the 2011/2012 season with Arsenal Kiev in Ukraine on November 27, 2011, in a 1-0 home loss to Chornomorets.
