Super Eagles stars, Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi will bid to outshine each other when their respective clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal clash in a pre-season International Champions Cup friendly match at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin today (Wednesday) reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
The duo recently linked up with their clubs after they were granted extended break following their participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The two players will also play under new managers, Maurizio Sarri for Chelsea and Unai Emery for Arsenal, in the new season. The Nigerians will look to cement a starting berth in their respective teams.
Moses came in as a 74th minute substitute for Spanish winger, Pedro in Chelsea’s 5-4 penalty shoot-out win against Italian club, Inter Milan last Saturday in his first pre- season game for the club.
Iwobi’s first pre-season outing for the Gunners was against French club, Paris Saint-Germain last week Friday which they won 5-1.
Chelsea who will look to win their first silverware under Sarri when they battle Premier League champions, Manchester City for the the Community Shield on Sunday will open their campaign in the new season with an an away game against Huddersfield next weekend.
Arsenal will entertain Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in their Premier League opening fixture.
