Super Eagles winger Victor Moses was in action for Chelsea who rounded off their pre-season with a 4-2 win over Werder Bremen in Germany on Sunday.
The Nigerian international came on for Willian in the 70th minute of the encounter.
Chelsea’s new signing from Premier League champions Leicester, N’Golo Kante, was also involved as new manager Antonio Conte continued preparing the squad for the new season kicking off next weekend.
After a well-worked short corner Eden Hazard drilled in a powerful strike into the bottom corner to hand the Blues a great start in the seventh minute.
Oscar doubled Chelsea’s lead when he was picked out by Hazard and the Brazilian exchanged swift passes with Diego Costa before finishing smartly. It was Oscar’s third goal in a week after his brace against AC Milan.
The hosts pulled a goal back from the penalty spot. Claudio Pizarro tucked it into the bottom corner after Nemanja Matic had committed a foul in the Chelsea box.
Diego Costa scored his first pre-season goal on the stroke of half time, finishing off a brilliant move in style after he was played through on goal by Hazard.
Lennart Thy scored Bremen’s second goal before Pedro Rodriguez completed the victory for the Blues.
