Super Eagles and Chelsea star Victor Moses was delighted after he was presented with his AITEO-NFF Football Awards Player of the Year gong by NFF second Vice-President Shehu Dikko in London, the Nigeria Football Federation stated in a press release.
Dikko made the presentation to Moses at the Chelsea Football Club grounds in South West London during the week, and the player showed genuine excitement.
“I am simply over the moon with this award. It means that the country and the people really appreciate the little we are doing for the national team,” Moses was quoted as saying.
“I am looking forward to doing much more for Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.”
The Chelsea star was named the winner of the award in Lagos in February but he was not present to collect it.
Moses was top scorer with three goals for the Super Eagles in the African qualifying series for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
