Manager Mark Hughes has named Super Eagles forward Victor Moses for Stoke City’s Capital One Cup game against Portsmouth at the Britannia Stadium tonight (Wednesday).
Moses was last week signed from Chelsea on a season long loan but has not made his debut for the Potters. But the former Crystal Palace and Wigan forward, along with his Super Eagles teammate Osaze Odemwingie, have been listed by the club’s manager for the game which kicks off by 7.45pm according to the club’s website, stokecityfc.com, which ran the story on the listed players for the game.
According to the official team news ahead of the game, Hughes is without midfielder Stephen Ireland with a rib problem, but Glenn Whelan has recovered from a foot injury.
Stoke however have striker Bojan Krkic and defender Phil Bardsley both doubtful for the Capital One Cup clash with Portsmouth , former club of Nwankwo Kanu and John Utaka.
Bojan Krkic missed training on Tuesday due to a rib injury while Bardsley has a knee problem. Both players will undergo late checks ahead of the game.
Meanwhile, Portsmouth manager Andy Awford is without key defender Alex Wynter who is suffering with a head injury.
