Super Eagles star Victor Moses was impressive as Chelsea stretched their lead in the Premier League table to 11 points following their 3-1 win against Swansea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
A goal each from Cesc Fabregas, Pedro Rodriguez and Diego Costa, made sure of the points for Chelsea.
Spanish forward Fernando Llorente got Swansea's only goal, meaning all the goals were scored by Spaniards.
Moses put in his usual sparkling shift at right wing-back for Chelsea and was replaced by Kurt Zouma with five minutes remaining in the game.
Chelsea edged the early exchanges and should have gone ahead through Fabregas whose goal-bound strike from the edge of the 18-yard was blocked by a Swansea player and went away for a corner.
In the 19th minute, Chelsea deservedly went 1-0 up as Fabregas marked his 300th Premier League appearance with a cool finish off Pedro Rodriguez's pass.
A few minutes later, Fabregas almost doubled Chelsea's lead following a cross from Moses but the Spaniard's volley was brilliantly palmed away by Lukasz Fabianski.
Pedro had a chance to make it 2-0 for Chelsea after a dazzling run from deep only to see his shot blocked.
On the stroke of half time Llorente made it 1-1 for Swansea after heading in Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick.
Just like in the start of the first half, Chelsea bossed the opening minutes of the second half and were almost rewarded but Fabregas' shot from Eden Hazard's cutback hit the crossbar.
Chelsea continued to pour forward for the second goal and were eventually rewarded in the 72nd minute off Pedro who curled in a left-foot shot from 20-yard which went through Fabianski's hands to make it 2-1.
In the 84th minute, Costa extended Chelsea's lead to 3-1, volleying in with his left foot after good play from Hazard.
At Goodison Park, Everton compounded Sunderland's relegation fears with a 2-0 win also on Saturday.
Goals from Idrissa Gueye and Romelu Lukaku in the 40th and 80th minutes sealed the win for Everton.
Nigerian youngster Ademola Lookman was on from the start before making way for Kevin Mirallas on 60th minute.
The win means Everton are now six points off the top four position.
