Moses Targets 219th EPL Game Vs Huddesfield

Victor Moses has set his sight on making his 219th premier league appearance when Chelsea travel to Huddesfield on Saturday for their 2018/2019 league opener. The Nigerian made his first start for Chelsea in three pre-season games as the Nigerian featured for 68 minutes in the goalless draw against Lyon at Stamford Bridge Tuesday night.

The Super Eagles star who was slated for his insipid performance in Chelsea’s 0-2 loss to Manchester City in the Community Shield last Sunday put an improved performance before he was replaced by Lucas Piazon in the 68th minute.

Moses will be hoping he has done enough to convince new Blues boss, Maurizzio Sarri he deserves to be in the first team ahead of their opening Premier League game on Saturday.

The Nigerian was an integral part of the Chelsea team that won the premier league title two seasons ago and continued his fine run as a wing back last season.
Moses has played 218 premier league games since he made his debut in February 2010 and has scored 20 goals.

Meanwhile Super Eagles midfielder, Joel Obi was left out of Torino’s 3-1 loss at Anfield to Liverpool as the Nigerian’s future at the Turin-based club continued to be in doubt.
Liverpool won their final pre-season game 3-1 but Nigerians interest was on Obi who scored five Serie A goals in 22 games for Torino.

The Nigerian who made the Eagles squad to the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup but did not play a game has been linked with a host of teams in and outside Italy especially AC Milan and Celta Vigo in Spain.
