Nigeria winger, Victor Moses, is looking to win his fourth title with Chelsea when The Blues battle Manchester City for the Community Shield trophy at the Wembley Stadium today (Sunday), reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Moses, 27, won the Europa League title with the West London club in his first season (2012/2013) under Spanish gaffer, Rafa Benitez but missed out on a number of the Blues successes later after spending three seasons on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United.
The former Crystal Palace star got the chance to impress under Antonio Conte in the 2016/2017 season albeit in a new wing-back position and he grabbed it with both hands playing a key role as Chelsea won the league title at the end of the campaign.
Chelsea missed the chance to win a double after losing 2-1 to Arsenal in the final of the Emirates FA Cup, but Moses and his teammates ended up the winner last season after a hard fought 1-0 victory against Manchester United.
However, Moses may now see his game time reduced under new manager Maurizio Sarri who is not keen on sticking to Conte’s 3-4-3 formation, but prefers the 4-3-3 he used to great effect at former club, Napoli.
He will battle with the duo of Willian and Pedro for a place on the right-wing or else if Sarri, like Conte, carves out a new role for him.
Moses made 28 league appearances for Chelsea last season and hit the back of the net three times.
