Former Nigeria international, Victor Moses, and his Chelsea teammates have underwent thorough fitness testing with new technology at their Cobham training base.
Moses who has made one substitute appearance this season for Chelsea was pictured alongside other players in the gym undertaking some intense fitness work and tests on Tuesday.
Moses was spotted with the medical mask strapped around his head and connected to a treadmill as he was put through his paces.
According to research the masks are designed to provide resistance training for the lungs and it is said to increase breathing capacity and improve the body’s use of oxygen by restricting the amount taken into the body during exercise.
Also the effects of high-altitude training, effectively taking you up to 18,000ft above sea level, a mask can enhance your performance by improving your red blood cell count.
The 27 year old is yet to start a game for the Blues so far this season following his involvement in his nation’s first round exit from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia this summer.
Chelsea are away at Newcastle on Sunday in their next English Premier League game. The Blues have chalked up two wins from their opening two Premier League games of the season.
