Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits he does not know if he will have money to spend during the January transfer window. Mourinho is keen to add to his squad when the window reopens next month and he has previously shown a liking for signing players during the winter, as he brought in Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last January.
With United currently languishing well off the pace in the Premier League standings, Mourinho clearly feels he needs to bolster his squad, although he does not know if the club’s hierarchy will make funds available. “I don’t know. I don’t know if we are going to have new players – I would like to – but I don’t know if it is possible or not,” Mourinho told reporters. “It depends on the club. I don’t know and, honestly, I’m focused on my job of playing Liverpool and next week playing Cardiff.”

The amount of money made available to Mourinho could depend on results over the festive period and the former Chelsea boss admits both he and they players are working hard to achieve their goals. “I’m not frustrated because my work is to demand from players that they give everything they have and what I demand – I only demand things that I can give myself,” he added. “So what I ask the players to do – that’s what I do. You have to work hard, you have to work on your limits. It’s my job.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
