Chelsea plan replacing Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi with Arsenal target, Sami Khedira.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has endorsed the sale of Mikel as they look to muscle in on Arsenal’s move for Real Madrid and Germany star Sami Khedira as reported by the Daily Mail.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen on adding another midfielder to his squad before the start of the new Premier League campaign, and with a £60million move for Juventus’ Paul Pogba starting to look unlikely, the ‘Special One’ is keen to land £20million Khedira.
Chelsea have a number of players competing for places in the centre of the pitch, including former Gunners hero Cesc Fabregas, but one man who looks set to leave is the Nigeria international who had a rather below par performance at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, a sharp contrast from his performance in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
The 27-year-old Mikel Obi started in just 11 league games last season, and reports in Italy claim he has been offered to a number of Serie A teams including Inter Milan for around £10million.
Mikel, who joined Chelsea from Lyn in controversial circumstances after initially agreeing a deal with Manchester United, has made 206 appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge, picking up a Premier League and Champions League winner’s medal as well as four FA Cups in the process.
However, his time in west London looks set to end despite his insistence that Fabregas doesn’t pose a direct threat to his place in Chelsea’s starting XI.
He said: “I don’t have a problem with the signing of Cesc Fabregas.
“We have played against each other a lot of times. We don’t play in the same position anyway.”
Chelsea will begin their pre-season camping next week.

Please Jose Mourinho, leave Mikel Obi, he will surprise those who wrote him off.
Mikel has failed himself and his fan, so sorry
Can’t Mourinho allow Arsenal to sign Khedira. Why is he always running after players mention to be signed by other good coaches. Mourinho is not a good coach and always run after tested players.
The time for Mikel to leave chelsea has come. H e should know realise the need to step up his game by trying his luck elsewhere. Indeed, he would have spent over thirteen years in Chelsea so should he think of what next? This is a wake up call for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mourinho should live awa boy 4 ox pls he should go nd look 4 another playa poba
