Brighton’s Glenn Murray says reaching the 100-goal mark for the club is spurring him on ahead of Monday’s trip to Southampton. The 34-year-old’s brace in the 2-2 draw against Fulham ahead of the international break moved him onto 97 for the club and it seems a formality he will break through the three-figures barrier before the end of the season.
Scoring on Monday at Southampton could provide his side with a much-needed win in what is expected to be a tight game.
The Cumbrian admits the 100-goal benchmark is providing him with extra motivation to help fire the Seagulls to safety.
Murray told the club’s website: “It’s something that I’m aware of, but if I do hit it, it won’t be a case of job done, I’ll want to score more.
“It’ll be nice to look back on, but it isn’t about getting there and stopping, it’s about getting there and carrying on.
“It will be a great achievement because I’ve spent a number of years at this club and I’ve lived in the city for a long time. Hopefully it will be a proud moment, but it won’t be a pause.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
