Super Eagles and CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa has maintained that he is not losing sleep ahead ofWednesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester United.
The CSKA striker boasted that his side are out to prove bookmakers wrong, saying beating Manchester United in both legs may be daunting but not insurmountable.
Speaking on his team’s chances, the Super Eagles captain believes the Russian billionaire club will dig deep and come out with the game plan to outwit Louis Van Gaal’s men
“For me I know football nowadays is not easy, so we have to wait and see before you decide who is going to win the game," Musa told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"As you can see my team is in top shape and we are working hard to see that we qualify for the next stage. We have quality players in the team.
“This is not the first time that we are playing Manchester United. We are going into the game believing we can do it and beat them both home and away, even though football nowadays cannot be predicted; it is just a matter of 90 minutes.
“We can beat United."
All the Group B teams currently have three points from two games, having each recorded a victory and a defeat.
CSKA Moscow are also in fine form domestically. They are currently at the top of the Russian Premier League with three wins and a draw in their last five games.
Their manager, Leonid Slutsky, is still not impressed with his charges’ lack of control in matches. CSKA worryingly conceded five goals from their last two games and Slutsky will not want to be as open against a quality side like United.
