By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:
Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa says Congo will be made to pay for beating Nigeria 3-2 in the first leg of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers when they meet in the return leg on Saturday in Point Noire.
Musa told Complete Sports that the Super Eagles will go to Congo with revenge on their minds adding that the Congolese must fall on Saturday.
‘We are still pained that we lost the first leg in Calabar and nothing will please us more than to go to their home and inflict the same pain on them with a win. We are determined and raring to take our pound of flesh come Saturday.
“The Congolese are good but we are better and we shall show them that their victory in Calabar was a fluke. We shall beat them and return home to stop the South Africans in Uyo. Nigerians should count on us to deliver but we need the prayers and support of Nigerians to do it,’he quipped.
Also speaking after training yesterday at the FIFA Goal Project pitch at the National Stadium in Abuja, Ambrose Efe said that the Eagles will go to Congo and get a good result that will put Nigeria back on track.
