By Nurudeen Obalola: Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa posted an impressive performance on Saturday for his new club Leicester City as they defeated Celtic in their pre-season International Champions Cup clash in at Celtic Park, Glasgow.
The Premier League champions beat the Scottish Premiership champions 6-5 on penalties as full-time ended 1-1.
Musa, who joined Leicester from Russian champions CSKA Moscow this summer, came on at the start of the second half in place of Demarai Gray and made an impact.
Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose was also on as a substitute for Mikael Lustig at the start of the second half for Celtic.
However, it was Riyad Mahrez, who was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in the day, who brought the match to life.
Mahrez, the Premier League Player of the Year last season, scored the opening goal with a 47th minute stunner.
The Algeria star did several stepovers to confuse his marker before curling an unstoppable shot beyond Craig Gordon in the Celtic goal.
Musa then almost added his own strike seven minutes later, speeding onto a ball over the Celtic defence, but Gordon just got there before the Nigerian.
Celtic equalised in the 59th minute with a fine finish from Eoghan O'Connell.
Leicester almost regained the lead when Danny Drinkwater found Mahrez, who beat his man, but his low ball was just behind Musa.
Both sides could not find a winner after 90 minutes and the match went straight into penalties.
Leicester scored all their kicks, while Celtic missed their first in sudden death after scoring the first five.
