Musa Sure Of Morocco 2015 AFCON

–Says Eagles will not only be there but to defend the trophy

Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa has insisted that Nigeria will still top their African Cup of Nations qualifying group, not minding the poor start in the qualifiers.

The Super Eagles are placed third behind Congo and South Africa with one point from two games. Congo have six points while South Africa have four points, and Sudan is at the rear with no point.

According to Musa, it is unthinkable that Nigeria with all her talents will not make it to Morocco to defend the cup they won last year in South Africa, insisting that the Eagles are not thinking of qualifying only but to top the group.

“We have two home and two away games to play and I want to say that it is not impossible to win all and top our group. We are still very hopeful of qualification and Insha Allah, we shall make it.

Ahmed Musa much respect to you for your football achievements, however saying Insha Allah will not help Nigeria qualify for the world cup. God also loves the South Africans and the Congolese and the Sudanese.

I have spent a long time looking and reading multiple Nigerian Football Websites. Many Nigeria coaches, current players and ex-players have commented on Nigeria’s poor performances Vs Congo and South Africa. Most if not all of these comments lack a few things:
    1) A proper analysis of the tactics that Keshi used during these games.
    2) Identifying what went wrong from a footballing and tactical point of view.
    3) How did Keshi respond to the tactical maneuvers of the opposition.
    4) What can be done and changed from a tactical point of view in future matches, and who are the players best suited to implement and execute these tactical changes in future matches.

What this has now turned into is a sentimental camp who are backing Keshi on one side and the camp who want Keshi to go on the other side. The questions we should ask ourselves in Nigeria is based on the evidence of Nigeria’s football performance in the last 10-15 games is Keshi implementing and mentoring the players to play and win with the right footballing Philosophy and tactics. Keshi has had a very long time to teach his footballing philosophy and tactics to these group of players, so building a team cannot be used as an excuse anymore.

Players and Coaches saying we are going to qualify or we will win our remaining matches without even identifying what the problems are is shocking and very suprising. This kinda stuff does not happen in Europe and in the successful football nations like Brazil and Argentina. Even the United States and Uruguay when they lose the football experts are quick to indentify the problems that lead to the loss and educate the public.

  • everyone knows d poor performance of d eagles toward d last two games dey played with congo and S africa, but thank God all hope is not lost wat d eegles need right now is our maximum suport to win d rest four games, not our cutlas.God bless Nigeria.
