Musa Vows To Start Scoring Again As CSKA Moscow Face Lyon

By Bamidele Boluwaji: CSKA Moscow of Russia striker Ahmed Musa has boasted ahead of his team’s Round of 16 Europa League clash against Lyon scheduled for Thursday in Moscow that he will start scoring again.

The Nigeria international, who has been invited by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the two World Cup build-up games against Poland and Serbia, told bobsoccer.ru on Wednesday that he will continue to work hard.

“I am sure that I will start to score soon. I work, I try very hard to make this happen as soon as possible. The most important thing is to score the first goal, then things will go better right away,” the former Kano Pillars striker, who is yet to officially open his goals account since returning to Moscow, said.

“It will be very heavy matches, and for us, and for our rivals. We expect to come out successfully. Ahead of the home game, I think we are well prepared for it.

Zenith Ziva

“Yes, it is important. You need to win in your field. Ideally, I would like to win without conceding.”

Musa is on loan at CSKA Moscow from Leicester City for the rest of the season.

work hard bro we are behind you

  • Ahmed muss,
I have been hoping that a coach somewhere will challenge you and help you fulfil your potential.
I believe in you bro. I believe you can become a great number 8 just like Wenger converted Henry from winger to killer striker.
You did it it Brazil against Argentina, you can do it again.

Speedy Ahmed MUSA is still young and hungry going forward. He has experience on his side to make a mark at the WC event. He only needs to be fully focused & improve on his average goals return, AGR. He has proven ability to fly at defences as TOP 9 as we have seen in some cases. But Nigerians kno we still need a lethal finisher in the mould of Julius Aghahowa, Siasia or Yekini for a Top 9.
GR, I believe, has an ace hidden somewhere, a JOKER.. He is a tactician. This list is not final. The gaffer said so himself.
While Star boy, Junior Ajayi, I believe, has the quality to create and score vital goals contributing from behind the front line, the addition of a quality Top 9 would make the SE a complete killer squad. This should not be waived away. It’s our dream.
Just one addition from a list of Cyriel Dessers, Noah Sareren Bazee, and Obafemi Martins all wit better AGR will complete the team & ensure the presence of a top class clinical finisher for Nigeria.
I read commentaries where some wrote off “experience” as unimportant. Experience is nothing? That said is crass ignorance. It’s not debatable.
The other area of concern is the Goalkeeping, and it’s being addressed.
After the Poland & Serbia’s acid test our team will get clearer. We will be separating the boys from the men.
Fellow Nigerians, the real journey has begun..

  • @kingmaker this players u just listed none of them are starters for there club except martins,in which age is not on his side.let mr Rohr invite who he wishes.
