Ahmed Musa’s exciting displays in the colours of Russian side, CSKA Moscow, have been a source of inspiration to the Super Eagles and their coaching crew ahead of the two important Nations Cup qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville and Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Assistant Coach Dan ‘the Bull’ Amokachi, declared after lunch on Thursday, that watching Musa show class in the Champions League encounter against English side Manchester City on Wednesday night, whom they defeated 1-2 away from home, gives him confidence that the Super Eagles will scale the hurdle for Morocco 2015.
“We are lucky that most of players who are not injured at the moment are on form and that should give us an edge over our opponents in our remaining games,” he declared.
Team Administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor, who spoke on behalf of other officials and the players said most of the players who spoke to him after watching the game, said they see Musa and his other team mates like Ikechukwu Uche and Emmanuel Emenike, seeing Nigeria through in the qualifiers.
“Musa has been an epitome of a true professional footballer and the way and manner he has been conducting himself on and off the pitch should give us reason to be confident that we will give a good account of ourselves in our remaining games for Morocco 2015”, he declared in his usual quiet mien.
