Nantes Wants Awaziem On Loan From FC Porto

French Ligue 1 side Nantes are in talks with FC Porto over a loan move for Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Awaziem spent last season on loan at Nantes where he featured in 22 games and scored once.


According Le10sport.com, Awaziem could be included in the deal for Porto to land Nantes defensive midfielder Valentin Rongier before the end of the 2018/19 transfer window.

Rongier is valued at €25m by the French club, Nantes.


Awaziem was part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but did not feature in any of the games.

The 22 year old has three international caps to his name since he made his debut against South Africa in an African Cup Of Nations qualifier in Uyo.
