"We would have won this game with a least three goals, but my boys were very wasteful. They frittered all the scoring opportunities that came our way. We shall work on the flaws observed during this game and correct them before the second leg. My team had the upper hand here, and I promise you that we shall dominate them in Algeria," Dogo told Completesportsnigeria.com moments after the match at Abuja National Stadium.

"I am sure we can get a result that will take us to the next round. The Algerians obviously came here to try and get a draw, but we managed to squeeze out a lone goal win after losing several chances. In Algeria, they would come to attack us thereby opening the game. They should not jubilate that they were able to keep the scoreline low because we shall shock them in their backyard," the youthful coach reiterated.

Coach Dogo continued.," We are still very much in the race. We are not going to sit back and allow them to attack us. No, we are going to try and score goals there and qualify for the next round. We are aware of the North Africans' antics, and we shall be ready for them. They don't scare us at all," Dogo concluded.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the club, Isaac Danladi Ina's commended the Nasarawa United players for the hard won victory, but urged  them to raise their game in the second leg and qualify for the next round.

"We shall motivate the players and officials for the second leg in order to get a good result. The government and people of Nasarawa are solidly behind the team, and the NFF are giving us all the technical and moral support needed to excel," Danladi told Completesprtsnigeria.com.
