With Aminu’s performance in the NBA, it remains to be seen if he will feature for the Nigeria’s men basketball team, D’Tigers in February when they begin their quest for a place at the 2019 Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) World Cup in China.
Aminu alongside 11 other players missed D’Tigers Afrobasket title defence in Tunisia in 2017.
D’Tigers will face Uganda, Rwanda and Mali in Group B of the African qualifiers. The top three in each group advance to the second round and will be grouped into two groups with six countries each.
At the end of the second round, the top two countries from each group and the third best will represent Africa at the tournament.
