Ndidi Relishes Leicester’s Safety From Relegation

By Johnny Edward:

Wilfred Ndidi is pleased to see Leicester City retain their English Premier League status for next season after a disastrous start to the campaign, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Leicester City lost 18 games and drew eight, winning just 12 games in the 2016/14 Premier League which ended on Sunday, just after winning the title for the first time in their history in the previous season.

Ndidi joined Leicester City in January when they were just two points off the relegation zone and he was instrumental to the Foxes resurgence under interim coach Craig Shakespeare.

Ndidi  tweeted on Sunday evening:"The good thing is we are safe, looking forward to next season. Over 58 games in all competitions in 2016/2017 for me."

The Nigerian international who won Leicester City's young player of the year award beating Ben Chiwell and Demarai Gray to the award, scored  three goals.

The Foxes finished 12th after winning the EPL title last season. They were held to a 1-1 draw at home to AFC Bournemouth on the final day of the season at The king Power stadium.
