Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was in action in Leicester City's 1-0 Premier League win against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday while Ahmed Musa was not listed by manager Craig Shakespeare,
Jamie Vardy scored the game's only goal.
Ndidi got an early chance to put the Foxes ahead in the seventh minute when he received a good pass just outside the box, unleashed a strike from a promising position, but the shot was blocked for a corner.
The Nigerian shrugged off the challenge of Johny Evans in the 43rd minute to fire a left-footed shot. Vardy scored shortly afterwards as he latched on to a pass on the edge of the box to place a perfect strike that went behind the goalkeeper for his 15th goal of the season.
The game was Ndidi's 13th of the season in the Premier League.
At the Stadium of Light Sunderland's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed following their 1-0 defeat in the hands of Bournemouth.
