Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is a doubt for the clash with Huddersfield Town this weekend due to a thigh injury. The 26-year-old missed Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves due to the issue and travelled to Barcelona to see a specialist.
He has since returned to Tyneside but the medical team are set to rule him out of this weekend’s meeting with the Terriers.

Shelvey has played just 20 minutes of football in the last five games and coach Rafa Benitez will be hoping he recovers in time for the rest of the festive fixtures.
Defender Federico Fernandez is also a doubt although Florian Lejeune looks like he could return in the next few weeks.
The Frenchman played 45 minutes in the reserves’ 2-1 win over Norwich City at Whitley Park this week and is set to feature on the bench in the coming weeks.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
