The last may not have been heard in the controversy arising from the verdict of the Appeals Committee of the NFF in the petitions brought before it regarding the September 30 elections into the executive committee of the federation held in Warri, Delta State.
Five out of the six members of the committee headed by Barrister Okey Ajunwa had thrown out the petitions, upholding the outcome of the elections which saw Amaju Melvin Pinnick emerge as winner and successor of Alhaji Aminu Maigari as NFF President.
A Nigeria Football Federation source disclosed yesterday that the World Football governing body has endorsed the verdict of the majority members of the Appeals Committee which upheld the outcome of the September 30 elections.
The source further revealed that FIFA spoke to NFF General Secretary when it expressed its admission of the majority members report.
But a member of the NFF Congress held in Warri however informed that he was aware that FIFA has received the report of the majority decision of the NFF Appeals Committee members but was not pleased that the minority report was not communicated to it.
The source further added that having received the minority report now, FIFA is expected to make a pronouncement latest by Tuesday, December 9, 2014.
