NFF Back Siasia’s AAG Bid

–Seyi Akinwunmi confident of U-23 Eagles

Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Seyi Akinwunmi has told Complete Sports that the football house will give the National U-23 Eagles all the support they need to beat Zambia in Saturday’s All Africa Games qualifier scheduled to hold in Lusaka.


The team camped in Abuja ended the first leg match in a goalless draw and need to win the crucial away match on Saturday to qualify for the 2015 All Africa Games billed to hold in Congo.

And speaking ahead of the encounter, Seyi Akinwunmi who is also the Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, LSFA, said the team is being monitored to ensure that the players get quality preparation before the match.


“We are committed to ensuring that the team qualify Nigeria for the All Africa Games and having said this, I should also tell you that we are doing our best to give the team all the support they need to ensure that they win the return leg match on Saturday in Lusaka”, says the legal practitioner.

Meanwhile, officials of the National U-23 Eagles Coach have confirmed that the team will travel to Zambia on Thursday as the match holds on Saturday.

Coach Samson Siasia who has assured that the team will win the away match, has urged all the players invited for the crucial match to give their best in the game.
