NFF Invite Finidi, Ogunbote, Maikaba, Boboye, Ilechukwu For National Team Interviews

The Nigeria Football Federation has invited former Super Eagles star Finidi George, Akwa United head coach Abdul Maikaba, Enyimba manager Gbenga Ogunbote, for Nigeria defender and ex-Remo Stars coach Nduka Ugbade and 53 other Nigerian coaches for interviews into various vacant positions in the national teams, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

MFM head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu and league leaders Plateau United coach Kennedy Boboye are also invited for interviews.

The vacant positions are the head coach, assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer in the U-17, U-20 and U-23 national teams (men), the U-17 and senior national teams (women) and the Beach Soccer national team.

According to a media release from the NFF’s Communications department, the shortlisted candidates were picked from the list of applicants who applied for various positions.

The release also revealed that all the invited coaches are expected at the NFF Secretariat, Abuja on Tuesday, 22 August with their original credentials and other relevant certificates and documents.

The NFF added that all the coaches would be responsible for their movement to and from Abuja, as well as their upkeep and other personal expenses in the Federal Capital Territory.
