NFF Issue F/Eagles, Falcons Code Of Conduct

–Ahead of FIFA U-20, Women’s World Cups

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has concluded plans to issue both officials and players of the National U-20 Flying Eagles and the Super Falcons code of conduct ahead of the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup and the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

At the sixth Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation meeting held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Wednesday, a proposal on code of conduct for any players or officials representing Nigeria at any competition was endorsed and it is expected to kick off with the U-20 World Cup in New Zealand and the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.

According to the football administrators, the code of conduct is expected to regulate the activities of both players and officials who will be representing the country at any competitions.

“In the interest of the nation and as a means of regulating the conduct of players and officials representing the country at any point in time, the Committee endorsed a proposal for all players and officials of the National Teams to sign a Code of Conduct, starting with the contingent to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand and the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada,” stated the communiqué.

Meanwhile, this move is also expected to be extended to the Super Eagles and their officials ahead of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

The Coach Stephen Keshi led side will lock horns with Chad and Tanzania in the double header slated for June.

It would be recalled that several controversies have occurred in the Super Eagles camp in the past, ranging from camp allowances to match bonuses and the football house under the leadership of Pinnick Amaju is out to ensure that such did not raise its ugly head under their administration.
