NFF Unveil Swede Dennerby As Super Falcons New Head Coach

By James Agberebi: The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday officially unveiled former Sweden coach Thomas Dennerby as the new heas coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, reports.

The unveiling ceremony took place in Abuja.

Present at the unveiling ceremony were Dennerby, NFF second vice – president Shehui Dikko, Falcons star striker Asisat Oshoala, Alhaja Ayo Omidiran and other top NFF officials.

Dennerby was appointed Falcons new coach last Thursday on a two-year contract until 2020.

He took over from former Falcons captain and coach Florence Omagbemi who led the team to the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

He will be assisted by Jorgen Petersson and three yet-to-be-named Nigerian coaches.

His first assignment will be to qualify the Falcons for this year’s African Women’s Cup of Nations which also doubles as qualifiers for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
