–General Secretary Musa Ahmadu wants team to bring their A game
By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:
General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Musa Amadu has warned the Flying Eagles to be wary of their Ghanaian counterparts in their semi final clash of the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal.
The NFF Chief Scribe told Complete Sports in Abuja yesterday that the match will be an explosive one as meetings between the two West African neighbors have always been difficult, adding that the Flying Eagles should not be carried away by their win over Ghana in a friendly in Accra last month.
“Ghana will be tough and the Flying Eagles must bring their A game if they want to play in the final. They must not chase the game like they did against Cote d’ Ivoire in their last group game that ended 2-2.
“I want the boys to play Ghana like they did against host Senegal and wrap up the game early. Ghana at this level have always been having the upper hand but I believe the present Flying Eagles are capable of changing the trend by winning today” Musa said.
He stated that the NFF will as usual give the Flying Eagles all the support they require to excel and go to the World Cup as African champions but Amadu will not say how they would motivate the boys to beat Ghana.
