Ghana who were edged on penalties by the Ivorians in the final of the 2015 AFCON on Sunday rose 12 places to occupy the 25th position in the world while losing semi-finalists Congo DR (46th, up 11) and hosts Equatorial Guines (49th, up 69) have made huge climbs to reach the top 50.
Algeria, Cote d’ Ivoire, Ghana, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Senegal, Nigeria, Guinea, Cameroon and Congo DR make up the top 10 sides on the African continent.
Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Belgium, Holland, Brazil, Portugal, France, Uruguay and Spain are the world’s top 10 sides in that order.
