Nigeria's men's handball team will hope to qualify for their first ever Olympics as they compete at the 22nd edition of the African Men's Handball Championship in Egypt.
According to the African Handball Confederation, the championship, which also serves as qualifiers for the 2017 World Men's Championship, will run from Thursday 21 January to Saturday 30 January, 2016.
The two finalists will qualify for the Rio Olympic Games.
Nigeria are in Group A with hosts Egypt, seven times African champions Algeria, Cameroon, Gabon and Morocco.
Group B comprises Tunisia, Angola, Congo, Libya, DR Congo and Kenya.
Nigeria will open their account at the championship on Thursday 21 against Cameroon. On the 22nd, they will face Egypt before taking on Gabon the following day.
They will square off against Morocco on the 25th before rounding off their group matches on the 26th, when they go head-to-head with Algeria.
