Maccabi Tel-Aviv midfielder Nosa Igiebor is delighted to be back in the Nigeria squad, after being recalled for the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 23-year-old returns to the Super Eagles set-up after being omitted from the squad that did duty at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Speaking to SL10, Igiebor insisted he has put the omission behind him and is focused on the 2015 AFCON qualifying campaign.
“There’s nothing to talk about regarding that. It’s gone now and we have all moved on and here I am back to the team, so such happens. I have no problems with that now,” Igiebor said.
“Every player would be disappointed if they missed out on the World Cup, but like I said, it’s in the past now and we have to move on from here.
“I’m not the only player who missed the World Cup so that’s that. The most important thing now is that I am back and we are preparing for these games against Congo and South Africa.”
The Super Eagles will host Congo at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar on Saturday, before travelling to Cape Town to face South Africa on Wednesday, September 10.
