Nigerian forward, Kehinde Fatai, has claimed he left Russian premier league side, FC Ufa on a mutual consent and was not sacked by the club, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Fatai, 28, linked up with Ufa from Czech Republic club, Sparta Prague in August 2016 on a three-year contract.
“I was not sacked by FC Ufa, rather myself and the club agreed to terminate the contract on a mutual ground,” Fatai told CSN from his Russia base on Wednesday.
“I want a situation where I will play more regularly and we both agreed that it is better to end the contract.
“At the moment, I’m talking to some clubs which I will not like to disclose at the moment. ”
The striker played 46 matches for FC Ufa and scored six goals.
Another Nigerian, Aaron Samuel also left Russian club, CSKA by mutual consent on Tuesday.
