Nigerian challenger Isaac Ekpo will battle World Boxing Association Super Middleweight champion, home boy Tyron Zeuge tonight (Saturday) in a 12 rounds fight for Zeuge's WBA super middleweight title at MBS Arena in Postdam, Germany, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Ekpo, promoted by Don King and nicknamed 'The Grenade' due to his devastating punching power was a member of Nigeria's Olympic team at the Athens 2004 Games.

"I will cause a big bang with my fists that Zeuge will not recognise until the referee reaches the count of ten and crowns me the new champion,'' Ekpo is quoted by worldboxingnews.net as build-up for the fight intensifies.

The bout was approved by the WBA World Championships Committee.

The two fighters weighed in on Friday evening in Brandenburg, Germany. Zeuge weighed in at 167.5 pounds while Ekpo weighed 166.4 pounds.

The German fighter is defending his title for the first time which he won last year after knocking out Italian veteran Giovanni De Carolis in the twelfth round.

Ekpo occupies the third place of the WBA ranking in his division and will fight for the first time for a world title.

The Nigerian has not lost since 2013 and has a string of seven victories by knockouts. He has won 31 bouts, lost two, and knocked out in 24 fights while Zeuge has a record of 19 wins, a draw and 11 knockouts.

The officials for the fight will include supervisor Jesper Jensen from Denmark, referee Raul Caiz Jr. from United States, and the three neutral judges have been set with Pawel Kardini from Poland, Juan Manuel García from Spain and Rafael Carabaño from Venezuela.
