Nigerian defender Ikenne King has joined newly promoted Hungarian side MTK Budapest on a two-year deal from rival club Honved Budapest, his elder brother Ubong Ebere has confirmed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
The former Flying Sports defender ended his seven-year spell with Honved Budapest who he joined in 2011.
He was handed the jersey No.88, Ebere also revealed.
During King’s time at Honved Budapest, he made over 100 appearances for the club and scored no goal but he made 12 assists.
Ubong told Completesportsnigeria.com on Monday that he younger brother is delighted at the move and he is looking forward to a new adventure at the club.
“He is happy and we hope he leaves another landmark at his new team,” Ebere told CSN.
King is expected to join up with his new teammates on June 24 for pre-season.
