Nigerian Striker Adi Makes MLS Team Of The Week

Portland Timbers' Nigerian striker Fanendo Adi has been included in the first 2017 Major League Soccer Team of the Week, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

 

Adi bagged a brace in the Timbers’ 5-1 rout of Minnesota United last Friday to take his goal tally to 43 in 91 appearances for the club.

 

The former AS Trencin and FC Copenhagen star also saw his goal nominated for the goal of the week. 

 

His teammate Diego Valeri who also scored twice was also named in the XI.

 

Other players on the team of the week include goalkeeper Joe Bendik, Anibal Godoy, Jonathan Spector, Nick Lima,Romell Quioto, David Accam,Perry-Acosta and Florian Jungwirth.

 

Houston Dynamo coach Wilmer Cabrera was named Coach of the Week.
