Nigerian Youngster Wins Spainish MIC Tournament

Little known Nigerian striker, Bamigboye Funsho has won the 2015 Mediterranean International Cup in Spain.

Bamgboye put up a solid performance that helped Aspire Academy to beat Alboraya 2-1 in the final game at the Palamos Stadium. The 15 years old free-scoring youngster scored both goals in the interesting duel to increase his goal tally to six after scoring four goals in their first group game against Sch FC of Korea. In the other category games Malaga FC defeated AT DE Madrid 2-1 while in Category C, Barcelona defeated arch rival Real Madrid 4-2.

The MIC football tournament is cadet tourney set aside for leading football academies all over the world. Bamgboye has joined the list of celebrated stars like Lionel Messi, Andrea Iniesta, Gerard Pique and Marcelo all of whom had participated in the tournament as youngsters in the past.
